Garbage and Recycling Services

The Town of Plover contracts with Advanced Disposal Services for weekly garbage and recycling services. Service occurs every Friday, except on weeks where their office is closed in recognition of certain holidays, which fall on weekdays. In these cases, collection will occur instead on Saturday.

New Year’s Day (January 1st), Memorial Day (May 27th), Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day (September 2nd), Thanksgiving Day (November 28th), and Christmas Day (December 25th)

Spring Clean-Up

Every two years the Town of Plover offers a spring clean up where residents can place large items out at the roadside for collection by Advanced Disposal Services.  


In 2019, the Town's spring clean-up was held on Friday May 10th.  The next year spring clean-up will occur sometime May of 2021.

Marathon County Solid Waste Department (Landfill)

Did you know that Marathon County Solid Waste Department (Landfill in Ringle) is a very inexpensive way to dispose of your excess garbage and unwanted large bulky items?  Currently, for just $15.00 you can dispose of up to 500 pounds of waste!

Recycling Reminder!

Let’s make recycling more successful by “Recycling Right”

· Never, ever put garbage in the recycling bin.

· Never, ever place plastic bags or film in the recycling bin.

· Never, ever place grease-soaked or soiled paper products in the recycling bin.

· Never, ever place large plastic items in the recycling bin.

· Never, ever place batteries, light bulbs or waste oil in the recycling bin.

· Never, ever placed household hazardous waste in the recycling bin.
